Mission Statement

Focus on Youth Incorporated offers assistance to young person with disabilities and to their families in order to enhance their lives through combined activities and provide support so that they may be active and valued members of their community.

Our Objectives

To ensure that children and young people of the same age group, whether abled or disabled are able to participate in planned events, as well as learning from each other and helping with each other's needs.
To provide necessary support to adults with disabilities through integration with other members of the same age within the Focus on Youth Program.
To provide, where possible, support to the families and friends of all children, youths and adults within the organization.
To treat each person as an individual in accordance with their individual needs and requirements.
To supply the necessary volunteer staff for each of the programs planned for youths and adults.
To ensure that each person has the right to be involved in each facet of the program where they feel competent and happy to participate.
Not to force children, youths or adults against their will to participate in any facet of the program where they feel insecure.
To supply necessary counseling and support in professional areas through networking with other organizations.
To ensure that professional help is available when and where necessary if required by family members, children, youths or adults, regardless of their abilities.
To give support to children, youths and adults through trying moments in their lives where humanly possible.
